Importing books
If you've already read through (and perhaps put into practice) the previous section on importing vocbaularies and terms, then you'll find that there's really not much difference when it comes to books. In fact, the book import page is considerably simpler than the taxonomy import page, as it doesn't have any of those weird general settings options that can be found on the latter. All that the book import page has is the usual common elements (as described in the previous section), and the settings from the add categoryi / containeri form that have no equivalent in the book module.
To complete a book import, the process is essentially the same as that for a taxonomy import. Simply select the books that you wish to import, configure the container-specific settings, and hit 'import'. Path redirection is not necessary for book imports, as books are already nodes, and so can retain their existing node IDs. Backups are not needed so much either, as book data is not deleted, merely altered.
That's all there is to it, really! I told you exporting books was easy, but you didn't believe it would be that easy, did you? As before, if everything goes well, then you should see a whole bunch of notification messages, and all relevant menu items should have been generated.
Now that you've completed the biggest part of the switch to the category module, you can get back to that game of ping-pong. You show that overly hand-eye-co-ordinated rabbit who's the boss.
