Images can now be posted
The categoryi module web site has just gotten a whole lot jazzier! The image and img_assist modules have just been installed, allowing you to upload image nodes to the site, and to insert them inline into your pages.
The img_assist module is not yet ready for 4.7, but there is a patch available to make it almost 4.7-ready. I improved this patch to make the module even more 4.7-ready, and this new patch is what's now powering the inline image functionality on this site. Image and img_assist are working on this site without any category-specific hacks; instead, they are working gracefully with the taxonomy wrapperi module, blissfully ignorant of the category system that they're really talking to.
The ability to insert images into posts will hopefully be a huge boon to the documentation section of this site. Documentation writers will now be able to insert diagrams, screenshots, and other useful images into their text, making it easier to read and more meaningful. Any logged-in users can submit images, and can insert them inline into their posts (or link to them).
